Getting out to enjoy spring

I love, love, love spring! I love to hear the birds singing, to watch the flowers pop up above the brown grass, to see the world turn green with plant life, and to feel the heat of the sun on my skin. Another benefit of spring is that I'm able to get out of the house and take the boys for a walk. It may only be in the 50's, but in WI that seems like a heatwave after the long, cold winter months. I bundle the boys up in warm clothes, cover them in blankets and off we go! These afternoon walks give me something to look forward to each day and make me feel refreshed! The boys seem to enjoy the stroller rides as they nap through them. Today I got brave and walked to a local coffee shop to get a latte and the boys did great!

Getting the boys all bundled up for the walk:

This is a photo of the boys when we returned home from the walk:

Those pics make me all clucky! Talk about snuggly and cute. Loving the 'manly' jackets - looks like they're ready for their 2 new acres already :) How's sleep going for you?

They are just so cute, I am surprised you get to the cafe without attracting a lot of attention!

Super Cute, your boys are growing up so quickly! I can't wait for our stroller to come in so I can take our girls for a walk.

Absolutely adorable!!! So glad you are getting out and feeling refreshed! Everytime I read your blog and see the pictures of the boys, I just get all giddy, I am so happy for you and J! Can I ask what kind of stroller it is? We are looking for a double, and I love the way it looks, does it handle well too??

Saffy, the boys are still feeding every 2 hours, so our sleep is limited. Fortunately, my mom comes twice a week at 6am and lets me sleep until around 10am--those 4 hours of uninterupted sleep are like heaven! :)

Anna, the stroller we have is City Mini Double by Baby Jogger. Although it's a bit on the pricey side ($400), it is well worth the expense! I absolutely LOVE it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a double side by side stroller. It handles and maneuvers well and easily fits through doorways.

Thanks for all the compliments! :)

Your boys are getting so big! I see you are using the city mini. What do you think? I love ours so far but the straps are weird! Hope you are loving life with your new little men. Aren't twins so fun?!

Hello! I came across your blog while search for information on surrogacy. About 3 weeks ago I lost my son due to preterm labor and premature rupture of membranes at 23w2d. They suspenct I had a subclinical infection but they have not been able to tell me why this happened. I had a miscarriage prior to that at 13 weeks also. Both times, I have required 2 D&Cs for retained placenta and my OB is now concerned that I may have extensive scar tissue in my uterus. She is also concerned about a blood clotting disorder. The combination of preterm labor, possible blood clotting disorder and possible scar tissue has made my husband and I consider surrogacy. We too live in WI. My sister in law who lives in MN has volunteered to be a surrogate for us however her insurance does not cover OB care if it is a surrogate pregnancy. I have so many questions about the process, I was wondering if you would be willing to share some of your experience and possible answer some of my questions. My email address is laurieh7 at hotmail dot com. If you have some time, drop me an email. You have two beautiful boys and I am hoping and praying some day that my husband and I will be as lucky as you! Thank you! Laurie
