K's having mestrual-like cramps

Since yesterday K has been having menstrual-like cramps. They aren't contractions (although she's had B-H contractions on and off for weeks), but rather feel like period cramps. She called the on-call ob who told her that the cramping could continue and then quit (irritable uterus) or it could lead to contractions (pre-term labor). He told her to take it easy and call if anything changes. It's not surprising that K's uterus is irritable from Liam kicking down on her cervix and all the pressure from two babies, but it has me worried. K has been relaxing with her feet up, which is tough for her as she's always on the go, and has been hydrating well. I'm guessing that her ob will want to see her before our scheduled appointment on Friday and will check her cervix to make sure she isn't dilating. I'll feel better when we hear back from our ob because I trust his judgement better than that of the on-call ob. Please keep K and the babies in your thoughts and prayers. We'd love for them to keep baking for at least 12 more days--34 weeks is the initial goal!

sending you (and k) my positive thoughts. i will say that i just spent sunday afternoon at l&d for the same thing (just much earlier at 21 wks). it was definitely something, but not contractions or ptl. which is good. very good. the doc said most likely caused by dehydration and activity. hoping it goes the same for you!

Thinking of you all!

I have been having those on and off for a few weeks - no cervical changes - but I have had them on and off all weekend - I too am going to call the doc today.

I am praying for an ongoing peaceful pregnancy for Kay. Let the rest do its thing and keep those little guys happily nestled inside for just a bit longer. As well, sending prayers your way to hang in during this tough time.

Lots and lots of prayers being sent! Sounds like those boys are very active! Those cervix kicks are not nice! Luke was breech the whole time and he would punch mine so I have all kinds of sympathy for K! Boys... you need to cook for at least 12-15 more days so settle yourselves down in there and behave! Big Hugs to Mom and K!

I had that off and on too and they mostly happened when the boys were kicking a lot and when Caden was pushing down so low. They seemed to come and go. I had that happen all the way up to delivery day. But it is always good to ask and get it checked out.

Of course we're all sending the 'keep cooking' vibes - and I know how stressful it is BUT 32+ weeks is a whole different ballpark to 25ish weeks - 34's great - 36 would be fab (says she who has only ever made it to 34 with a perfectly healthy and happy giggling little girl). Let's just hope those boys are patient little fellas who can hold out for a couple more weeks yet. Either way, can you believe it's less than 2 months til term? :O

My thoughts are with you, K and the babies! Tell those little boys to calm their nerves, they will be out soon enough, no need to rush it! :)

I am sending good vibes and prayers they stay in longer but at 32 weeks they can survive and be a good size this happens alot with twins I had a friend who had twins just at 32 weeks and they were fine good size one 4lbs and one 3lbs stayed in hospital 1 week they are now 5 yrs old healthy girls with no problems so as much as we would all like the extra 2 weeks sometimes mother nature knows best so hang in there it will be all good she way past the 25 week mark they will be with you two shortly.

Praying!!!

Silas and Liam, you boys stay put for a few more days! I know you're anxious to get out into this big exciting world to meet your mommy and daddy who love you sooooo much...but just hang out there a little longer in K's beautiful womb so you can grow even bigger and stronger than you are now! We've all been waiting so long for you, but we'll gladly wait a little longer if it means you will be safe and healthy. You listen to your Auntie Becca...don't make me turn this car around...oh wait, um, never mind. :)
